Students Learn from Experts in the Field
Second grade just finished learning about weather. Three meteorologists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration joined the second grade classes. Meteorologists Tim Brice, who reported from Texas, Robin Fox, who reported from Washington State, and Chris Stone, who is from Sterling, VA, taught the students about severe weather such as thunderstorms, tornados, hurricanes, and blizzards. They also gave students awesome safety tips, so they can be prepared but not scared! Students definitely learned a lot and enjoyed their visit.
