One of our classes recently read the book Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. Inspired by the book, this class participated in a fun library learning experience. Students collaborated with their team to solve library clues which were shared with them on a Google site. If the students answered the question correctly they moved on to the next question. If they answered incorrectly, they received a message to try again. The students had three lifelines: Destiny catalog, nonfiction cards, and an expert. As students solved the library puzzles, they used their knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System to pick up cards scattered throughout the library. Each group's cards formed a sentence. The teams shared their sentences with the class. The sentences were compiled together to form an encouraging message from their teacher.
